Vertical Lift Modules
Instead of storing inventory and supplies on static shelving or mezzanine floors, vertical lift modules (VLM) consist of a series of containers or trays mounted to a vertical track inside a large cabinet. The trays are then picked by an elevator type system inside the vertical lift modules and brought down to the users level to be accessed.
Vertical lift modules create additional storage space by clearing up the space in a warehouse or healthcare facility traditionally used by static shelving—and in making inventory control and supply management mechanized, there are many other benefits as well:
- Increased Storage Density: Vertical lift modules can save up to 70% of valuable floor space.
- Enhanced Productivity: By providing accessibility and visibility to all items being stored, less time is spent by employees tracking down inventory.
- Safety Considerations: The vertical lifts decrease dependence on forklifts and ladders, and provide an ergonomic environment for employees to access items.
- Increased Security: Inventory, parts, supplies, and more are in a secure system and out of sight—ideal for high-cost and valuable items.
Quick Assess: System allows for a relatively large inventory of goods to be quickly accessible to a picking station while being stored safely and securely in the interim
