Making the Most of a New Training Facility

When the Utah Mammoth moved their equipment storage from a large warehouse next to the Delta Center to their newly remodeled training center at South Town Mall, they needed to find a way to make the most of their new space.

Spacesaver Intermountain was brought into the project very early in the process to help develop a storage solution around the Mammoth’s specific needs.

The goal was to maximize storage capacity while keeping equipment organized, accessible, and easy to manage.

Storage Designed Around the Team

The equipment storage system needed to work around overhead obstructions while providing as much storage capacity as possible within the available footprint.

The solution was designed to accommodate a wide range of hockey equipment, including large totes and boxes, hanging garments such as pants and jerseys, skates, hockey sticks, and helmets.

High-density mobile storage allowed the Mammoth to make better use of their available space while keeping equipment organized and accessible.

Maximizing Every Inch

The Mammoth also needed a solution for storing rental skates in a public-facing area of the facility.

The rental skate storage is located between the main entrance and lobby and the practice ice. Because of its location, it was important to maintain a clear view of the ice as visitors entered the facility.

The owners wanted patrons to be able to see the ice as soon as they entered the facility.

To accomplish this, Spacesaver Intermountain designed the rental skate mobile storage system to stay below 48 inches tall while still maximizing the number of skates it could hold.

The system incorporates a skate storage solution from Becker Arena Products, keeping rental skates organized and easy to access while maintaining a clean appearance.

The mobile system can also be rolled together and locked down at night, helping protect the rental skates from theft.
